- With 4K, you enjoy beautiful 4096x2160 imagesffour times the resolution of Full-HD. That's why even on large-screen TVs, images look clear and realistic, not pixelated.
- IPS monitors in order to create better viewing angles, impressive image quality, and precise color accuracy.
- Armed with ColorNavigator 6 that allows the hardware of ColorEdge monitors to be calibrated simply and precisely.
- Supports HDR Gamma which allows consistent image reproduction with accurate gradation values up to the maximum brightness of the display device.
DCI-4K resolution and outstanding image quality for sharp images
The CG319X features DCI 4K 4096 x 2160 (4K), which corresponds to four times the pixel count of Full HD (1920 x 1080). Therefore, this monitor is the ideal tool for 2D and 3D CGI or visual effects, from compositing to color grading. The monitor has the maximum resolution (4096 x 2160 (4K) Pixel), an excellent contrast ratio of 1500:1, and brightness of 350 cd/m2. You can edit graphics and images to the smallest pixel, for example. And what's more: the text contours are clear and precise. The LCD module with IPS (Wide Gamut) panel provides 178 viewing angles, meaning that the user will see colors and contrasts as stable.
Wide Gamut - vibrant colors according to industry standards
The wide gamut monitor reliably reproduces 98% of the DCI-P3 standard used in digital cinema and supports the Rec. 2020 standard. Also, the CG319X covers 99% of the Adobe RGB color space. If images recorded in RAW format are converted to AdobeRGB, the monitor displays them with absolute color accuracy. The EIZO monitor also offers significant advantages for printing: It covers almost the entire CMYK color space (e.g., ISO Coated and US Web Coated). You can already see what the subsequent print result will look like and save yourself proofs on the screen.
Precise color reproduction thanks to the high-resolution 3D look-up table
The 3D-LUT ensures the most precise tonal value assignment and extremely exact color reproduction, which is shown, among other things, by the gray wedge. With LCDs, the degree of brightness in relation to the image signal and the color mixture (addition) of red, green, and blue vary from module to module. All of this can only be precisely recorded and controlled with the help of special measuring devices. That is why EIZO sets every monitor in the CG series and their colors and tone curve at the factory. As a result, a consistent color temperature is achieved across the entire grayscale. The result: The color reproduction is the same, precise, and reliable for every single image.
True Black: depth of color for three-dimensional images
The CG319X displays deep black tones with its high contrast ratio, which often appear pale or washed out on a typical LCD monitor due to the background lighting. Especially true when looking at the monitor from the side in dimly lit rooms. The CG series comes with a retardation film that enables this depth of black tones even with large viewing angles.
Uniformity across the entire screen
Uniformity across the entire screen
Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) controls all tone values over the entire monitor, pixel by pixel. The effect: color tones appear identical at each point on the screen, without the brightness fluctuations you experience in conventional LCDs. The DUE function also balances out the effects of ambient temperature changes on the color temperature and brightness. You will enjoy consistently even luminance distribution and perfect color purity. A real plus when touching-up images.
Integrated sensor for self-calibration
An integrated calibration sensor ensures you achieve maximum color accuracy. The sensor is perfectly aligned to the monitor, takes environmental influences such as light into account, and correlates the center of the image with its edge. It is thereby ensuring an even result over the whole monitor.
The sensor is located in the bezel and is extends when performing measurements. Meaning that no external calibration device is necessary, and the monitor's color fidelity is optimal at all times.
The CG319X comes with the latest sensor technology that enables recalibration during regular operation, allowing you to continue working with non-color-critical applications while the monitor is calibrating. During calibration, the sensor only takes up a small screen area and does not present an obstacle. Calibration can also be performed entirely automatically at definable times.
Exact color reproduction – factory calibration
With LCD panels, the image display can vary from module to module. That is why each ColorEdge monitor is precisely measured and calibrated in the factory. The gamma curves for the red, green, and blue channels are tested according to strict parameters and corrected if necessary. This unique EIZO factory calibration enables the user to start using the monitor with the preset gamut right out of the box. Also, the factory calibration allows the user to recalibrate the monitor if needed using ColorNavigator quickly.
Professional hardware calibration
Right image processing is only possible on well-calibrated monitors. The standard software calibration takes a long & requires users to have a certain level of technical expertise. The CG319X ColorNavigator hardware calibration software allows quick calibration, efficiently, & with excellent color precision: During calibration, the software directly accesses & saves to the monitor hardware's look-up-table. You determine the relevant components such as white balance, gamma, brightness, & tone value curve to your requirements. Calibration then runs automatically based on the default set during production & is therefore unique in precision & speed. Meaning users can perform calibration in just a few steps, with no need for in-depth technical knowledge. Because the calibration takes place via the monitor hardware, it is performed without loss & independently of the computer & graphics board. The CG319X smoothly integrated into an existing system.
10 bit colour depth: a billion colours in the finest grades
Thanks to the 10-bit color display based on a 24 bit LUT, you can utilize a vast color spectrum. This is made possible by the rapid DisplayPort and HDMI connections in combination with the frame rate control. Giving you a billion colors at your fingertips simultaneously. That is 64 times more colors than with an 8-bit display. The color gradations are more refined, and the color differences between adjacent colors are smaller. The enhanced greyscale range is equally important for post-production. With the 10 bit greyscale range activated, between 6% and 14% more grayscales are visible.
Stable brightness, no colour deviation
The alpha and omega for exact image editing: constant brightness and color temperature. Patented electronics balance out brightness fluctuations that may arise due to extended periods of use and increased environmental and operating temperature. Thanks to a built-in thermometer, color deviations caused by room temperature fluctuations are eliminated and automatically reduced. The color rendering remains constant over a long period of use, right from the start: because the warm-up time until brightness, color, and tone values has completely stabilized is just three minutes.
Luminance Warning and Gamut Warning
The Luminance Warning allows areas that exceed a certain brightness (300, 500, 1000, or 4000 cd/m2) when PQ mode is used to be highlighted. These areas can be highlighted in the user’s choice of yellow or magenta.
The Gamut Warning operates in two modes: Rec. 2020 image content that can’t be displayed in the Rec. 709 gamut is displayed in greyscale. Alternatively, clipping mode is simulated in Rec. 709 to show how Rec. 2020 material would look on HDTV devices.
One monitor, many ports
It doesn’t get simpler than this: Most end devices, such as PCs, laptops, or cameras, can be connected directly to the monitor, thanks to its wide range of interfaces. The CG319X supports a wide variety of video formats up to 10-bit 4:4:4 at 50/60 p via DisplayPort and 10-bit 4:2:2 at 50/60 Hz via HDMI. As a result, the CG319X can be integrated into PC-based workflows and used with HDMI feeds.
Ergonomic and stable: the adjustable base
The CG319X has a flexible base to adjust the height, tilt, and rotation. The monitor can be tailored to the user's needs. For example, he can set a sitting position that is ergonomic for him (e.g., lowered to the bottom) or a position to show clients and colleagues something on the screen.
Perfect anti-glare coating
The IPS panel has an optimal anti-glare coating. It diffuses the reflected light to minimize glare, protecting your eyes from strain. Also, the monitor provides for a wide viewing angle without any distracting reflections. This is particularly advantageous when multiple people are seated in front of the same monitor.
